Can Jack and Alice stop a pack of ruthless criminals before they can Data Jack?
Jack Stratton's back is up against the wall. He's broke, kicked off the force, and his new bounty hunting business has slowed to a trickle. With no money coming in, Jack's license to carry suspended, and no good job prospects on the horizon, Jack's got it tough. He thinks things are turning around when Alice (aka Replacement) gets a lucrative job setting up a home data network. That is, until he discovers it's for a handsome, jet-setting software tycoon. The "boy billionaire" as Jack grudgingly refers to him, takes a liking to computer-savvy Alice. Jealous, Jack thinks life can't get any worse, but when the computer program the CEO invented becomes the key tool in an international data heist, things turn deadly. In this digital age of hackers, spyware, and cyber terrorism--data is more valuable than gold. The thieves plan to steal the keys to the digital kingdom and with this much money at stake, they'll kill for it. Can Jack and Alice stop the pack of ruthless criminals before they can Data Jack?
An action-packed whodunnit you can't put down.

Detective Jack Stratton Mystery Thriller Series DATA JACK edition by Christopher Greyson Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks
I got the first book in this series for free (after seeing it promoted on BookBub). My expectations aren’t too high for free Kindle books. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed Girl Jacked: A Detective Jack Stratton Mystery. I want books to engage me, entertain me, interest me, with characters that I enjoy, maybe romance but not too much blatant sex or too much really foul language, and with decent editing without distracting mistakes. Girl Jacked gave me all of that and more. I enjoyed it so much that as soon as I finished it, I went to Amazon and immediately purchased the 2nd book in the series, Jack Knifed. I rarely actually purchase a Kindle book – so that alone is a top recommendation from me! After I finished the 2nd book, I again immediately went to Amazon and purchased the 3rd book in the series, Jacks Are Wild. After reading some if it, I realized that I was firmly hooked and went back to Amazon and purchased the 4th & 5th books in this series, Jack And The Giant Killer and Data Jack. I am finally disappointed – because I have finished all of these books AND I STILL WANT MORE! I will be anxiously awaiting publication of Christopher Greyson’s next novel – whenever that may be! The books in this series can be read independently, out of order, but I think you will enjoy them the best if you read them in order of publication.Product details

Detective Jack Stratton Mystery Thriller Series DATA JACK edition by Christopher Greyson Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
I have read the entire series and enjoyed each book thoroughly. This is a fun series that does a good job of developing characters over time through each book. While each book can stand alone I think they are best enjoyed read in order. This most recent book, Data Jack takes Jack and Replacement in a different direction professionally. It is fast paced with tension and action. I am hoping this is not the end of the series. I have grown attached to Jack and Replacement and their sidekick Lady.
By far the best part of this “Data” series is the entirety of the relationship between the scarred cop & bounty hunter Jack Stratton and the younger, but highly talented, Replacement. This time the plot which tries to tap into cyber crime seems cobbled together. We have a rich IT entrepreneur who has been targeted by Russian mafia types and any number of possible local accomplices. Replacement takes a small job installing IT components unaware of the difficulties percolating behind the scenes. Jack being essentially unemployed comes along to help but then faces a dangerous situation.
Not a difficult read, but the whole story seems weak, not particularly credible. And then there is the IT guy intruding on Jack & R’s relationship. The author needs a reboot.
Data Jack of the Jack Stratton Series well written as are all the books in the series. Though it could stand alone, it is best enjoyed by reading all the books in the series because the characters continue to evolve and develop from book to book. Greyson has a very good formula for the series in that the protagonist has to fight the bad guys, the police brass that have it in for him and the orders/rules he has to disobey to solve the cases in which he may have been ordered not to be involved. Jack's romantic relationship with "Replacement" is PG at worst and the language is mostly G rated. The fact that the author can write a good mystery novel without resorting to gratuitous sex and foul language illustrates his talent. This is another page turner with twists and false leads that keeps the reader's interest with very little dead space. Nearly every sentence moves the story along.
Once again, I was delighted by another Jack Stratton mystery. I've followed this entire series and will continue so long as the books are engaging...and they are.
I like the ever-growing relationship between Jack and Replacement, the occasional reach-backs to past characters (Chandler, Michele, Aunt Hattie) the simple whodunnit plot and the (always) successful conclusions. This one featured Replacement and her computer (hacker) skills, which was a nice touch. Throw in rich boy Pierce and a cast of characters and voilà......you have a entertaining story for a couple of hours. No blood & gore, no hot & heavy sex; just a really good story with an engaging plot, interesting players and good action.
I can't wait for the next installment.
The series is very good and at the price per book I really can't complain. I look for something I call my "beach reads" where I want to pass time and be entertained. These books deliver. This book in the series was honestly my least favorite. I can see where he was going with it and it is clear at the end but the amount of time to get there made this a bit slow for me and I felt there were some loose ends. Jack sort of lost his "edge" and replacement really grew up. In the first few books I don't know why but somehow I felt Jack was much older and replacement much younger. As the relationship went from what I call innocent puppy love to something more serious I felt it was getting weird. It was to me like an older many of 30's was looking at a younger teen girl. I know - They are only six years apart. But in the writers descriptions and how he had the characters defined and act I had then much farther apart. So in this book when they want dot take the relationship farther it freaked me a bit. And not to spoil things Jack could have easily avoided a great deal of the conflict between he and replacement if he just said why he wanted to "wait". Alice would have understood since she really knows and respects her Aunt.
Christopher Grayson does a great job of moving the story line forward and developing characters. He also builds empathy for Jack, a disfranchised police officer acting as a bounty hunter to make ends meet. In Data Jack, he acts as an assistant to his computer savy roomate and girlfriend, Alice aka Replacement. The duo investigate corporate espionage while Alice works side by. side with an attractive millionaire businessman. Will they solve the espionage before somebody gets hurt or killed? You'll have to read Data Jack to find out.
